Privacy Policy
Your family’s photos deserve thoughtful care. This notice explains how LittleHero Movies handles information when adults visit our store, request a preview, order a movie or contact us.
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Who we are
LittleHero Movies is operated by Margarita Tolmacheva, 82 Lordship Park, London, N16 5UA, United Kingdom. This notice covers littleheromovies.com and studio.littleheromovies.com. For privacy questions, email hello@littleheromovies.com or use our contact form.
Information we use
We use the adult customer’s contact and order details; the child’s first name, photo, name pronunciation and any optional dedication you provide; the selected adventure and language; generated previews and production files; and messages you send to support. Shopify and payment providers process checkout and payment details. Our studio application does not receive your full card number.
Our services also process technical information such as browser details, session identifiers, request logs and IP addresses for operation and security. The studio uses hashed request identifiers for abuse limits. Hosting providers may retain access logs.
Why we use it
We use information to create your requested preview, fulfil and deliver your order, answer questions, prevent abuse and meet accounting or legal obligations. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on consent for optional previews and marketing, performance of our contract for orders, legitimate interests for proportionate support and security, and legal obligations for required records. You can withdraw consent by contacting us; this does not affect processing already carried out.
Children’s photos
Our ordering and upload tools are for adult parents and authorised guardians. Children should not submit information themselves. Upload only a photo you have permission to use. We do not publish customer photos or films as examples or use them in marketing without separate permission. Contact us if a child has submitted information directly or if a photo was uploaded without authorisation.
Services involved in your order
Shopify supports our storefront, checkout and contact form. DigitalOcean hosts the studio. OpenAI processes the photo and instructions when you request a free preview. Higgsfield and the image, video or voice services used for your selected production may process the reference images, name and story information needed to create it. Media hosting and delivery providers distribute the resulting files. We may disclose information when legally required or to protect the service.
Providers may process information outside your country, including the United States. Their applicable data-processing terms and transfer arrangements govern that processing. Contact us for details about providers used for your particular order. See also Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
How long information stays
Unsubmitted studio drafts and free preview results expire after 24 hours and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Preview source images are removed from the preview worker after processing. Once you continue to checkout, order files are retained for production and are not covered by that 24-hour cleanup. Order, support and payment records are kept as needed for fulfilment, customer requests, disputes and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us to request deletion; information that must be retained for legal reasons may be excluded.
Cookies and choices
The studio uses a secure session cookie to protect your private drafts. Shopify uses cookies and related technologies for store operation, checkout, security and its configured services. Available privacy choices are provided through Shopify’s privacy controls. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies can prevent ordering. Marketing email is optional and can be unsubscribed from.
Your requests
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity and authority before disclosing a child’s information. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. No internet service can promise absolute security; we limit access to order information to the people and services needed to operate the studio.
